Subject	Powder Coating question

Message	i have a guy who can powder coat. he recommends getting a clear coat. is this necessary? he said it makes it shinier and helps protect against scratches. i thought i have read that the clear coats turn yellow with the heat. or is that just for high temp paint? Z is currently under renovation. pardon her appearance:
